Privacy Policy

How the journal handles browsing, saved photographs and correspondence.

Last updated: November 3, 2026

This policy explains how Irvaniq handles information when you visit irvaniq.com, save photographs in your browser or contact us. Our journal is designed to be read without an account. Questions and requests can be sent to contact@irvaniq.com.

Visiting the journal

We do not require a name, email address or login to browse the site. There are no public profiles, comment threads, payment tools or direct image uploads. We do not use advertising pixels, behavioural advertising, third-party analytics or social-media embeds on these pages.

Like other websites, the service delivering the site may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser information, requested page, referrer and time of access. This can be used to deliver content, maintain availability, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. Technical logs depend on the hosting provider and its configuration; this policy does not promise that visiting the site creates no server records.

Saved photographs and browser storage

If you bookmark a photograph, its internal identifier is saved in local storage in the browser you are using. A motion preference may also be stored if you change it. These preferences are not sent to Irvaniq by the site, do not create an account and are not synced across devices.

Local storage generally remains until you remove it, clear your browser’s site data, use the control below or your browser removes it. Private browsing or storage restrictions may prevent preferences from persisting. The journal does not set its own tracking cookies.

This control removes only the journal’s saved selection and motion preference in this browser. It does not delete email correspondence or technical records held by a hosting or email provider.

Messages and the email-draft tool

The contact tool prepares a draft in your browser. Entering details and preparing the draft do not send them to us. Opening the email link passes the draft to your selected email application; copying a draft places it on your clipboard when you choose that action. You decide whether to send the message.

If you email us, we receive the address you send from, your message, any information or attachments you include and the usual email metadata. We use that information to respond, assess corrections, handle image-rights matters or address a privacy or accessibility request. Please send only information relevant to your enquiry.

We retain correspondence for as long as it is reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, maintain relevant editorial or rights records, resolve disputes or meet applicable obligations. Retention varies with the nature of the request. You can ask us about a particular message or request deletion, subject to legitimate retention requirements.

Service providers and other websites

Photographs, styles, scripts and icons are delivered with the site. We do not load third-party fonts or remote photography services in the background. Hosting and email providers may process information to supply their services, including security and delivery functions. Information may be processed in countries where those providers operate.

A link to another website or an action in your email app is governed by that service’s own practices. We do not control those services. We may disclose information where necessary to meet a legal obligation, respond to a valid request, investigate abuse or protect rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Your choices and requests

You can browse without saving photographs, clear the journal’s browser data, use browser privacy controls and choose what you include in an email. Where applicable law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing or receive a copy of your personal information, contact us to exercise them. The rights available depend on the information and your circumstances.

For visitors to whom European data-protection rules apply, we rely, as relevant, on legitimate interests in delivering and securing the journal and handling correspondence, and on compliance with legal obligations. Where consent is required for an activity, that activity requires an appropriate choice. You may also have a right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority. We do not use personal information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

We may request proportionate information to verify a request. Please identify the correspondence involved rather than sending identity documents by default. We will respond in accordance with requirements that apply to the request.

Children and security

The journal is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and address the matter.

We aim to limit the personal information we handle and use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the services involved. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy when the journal or its information practices change. The date shown above identifies the current version. Material changes will be described on the site where appropriate. For questions about this policy or personal information handled in connection with the journal, email contact@irvaniq.com.
